Our Story

NBCC – Real people who desire to live exceptional lives that point others to an irresistible Savior.

New Beginnings Christian Church is a non-denominational congregation. It is part of a historic grassroots effort that began in the 1800s called the Restoration Movement. This movement sought to restore the church back to its simple first century biblical practices. Out of this exciting movement also came the Churches of Christ and Disciples of Christ. We have adopted and embrace the old and proven unity motto – ‘In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love’.

We are a congregation that formed when two churches in South Tampa – Westshore Christian Church & Palma Ceia Christian Church – combined in October 2005. The Lord has richly blessed this amalgamation.

We at NBCC are one of nearly 6,000 independent churches in the United States with approximately 4 million members, who have chosen to avoid denominational structures and control, while working to be the faithful and fruitful church that God intended us to be. We practice a scriptural model of self-government led by a small team of biblically-qualified Elders.

In keeping with the example of the first century church, we at NBCC observe two sacred ceremonial observances (sacraments) – the Lord’s Supper (weekly) and Baptism (by immersion).
