NBCC Happenings (When, What, & Where)
IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION (new letter and list below updated June 4, 2020,
Brothers and Sisters in Christ at New Beginnings:
Most of Florida’s state restrictions are being removed or moderated at this time to allow people to move more freely. The Lord has continued to bless us, in the respect that we have not seen any outbreak of the illness in our congregation. We ask that you pray for this continued protection and guidance.
Florida’s active virus cases are increasing, but at more moderate levels. This shows there are opportunities for exposure – clearly. We have seen in the media people in public venues not maintaining distances, which may increase risk. The Elders want to remind you of the need for discretion as we go forward. This is to protect ourselves and especially the most vulnerable in our congregation.
Thank you for your giving support and attendance during this unique time! You have kept NBCC a viable force during this time of hardship and prepared us for good things ahead.
- The Drive-In will, of course, continue at 8:30 AM on Sundays – radio stations 103.9 and 88.7.
- If you choose to worship online, the Inside 10:30 service will once again be available via live streaming on our church website by clicking ‘NBCC Live!’. That sermon will be available later in the day on YouTube. Drive-in service will no longer be captured for online viewing.
Please note below the following protocols for the upcoming inside 10:30 service that Steve, Kristian, and the staff have developed. Kristian is the point person for this effort; please feel free to contact him with any questions or discussion.
God Bless You
Chairman of the Elders
What to Expect at the 10:30 Inside Service
After an extended series of weekly senior church leadership conversations, we have decided to ‘green light’ and add to our 8:30 Drive-In opportunity an Inside 10:30 service, starting Sunday, June 7! As a courtesy to our faithful members and cherished guests, we wanted to give you a sneak peek into what to expect.
Doors will open promptly at 10:00AM. You will be warmly greeted by our masked and gloved specially-trained greeting team. They will be wearing t-shirts that read ‘REAL PEOPLE’ with ‘VOLUNTEER’ on the back.
You will notice immediately some changes to the lobby area. Seating and coffee will be unavailable. However, you will find tables on each side of the lobby containing bulletins and pre-packaged communion safely spaced for you to pick-up. Important: You are encouraged to wear a mask; however, it is not required. Likewise, if you do not prefer the pre-packaged communion, you are encouraged to bring your own from home.
We are asking that mingling be minimal while observing social distancing of 6 feet separation.
Upon entering the sanctuary, you will be greeted again by two members of our greeting team. They will kindly direct you to open seating and promote social distancing before worship begins. All greeters are available to answer any questions or address any concerns you might have.
All areas of the church building other than the lobby, sanctuary and restrooms are off limits until Sunday, July 5. Likewise, until that date, no childcare or children’s ministry is available, including nursery.
Hand sanitizer will be visible and readily available each Sunday. Likewise, both restrooms will be sanitized every 15 minutes and the church common areas will be professionally-cleaned weekly.
Following the service, collection baskets will be visibly available as you exit the sanctuary double-doors to drop in your communication cards and offerings. Again, it is important that mingling be kept to a minimum while in the lobby. We want you to catch-up with one another; but ask that you do that outside the building.
This service will be live streamed and available for viewing via our website by clicking ‘NBCC Live!’.
If these guidelines are strictly followed and no infections are diagnosed, on Sunday, July 5th we will restart our Sunday School at 9:30 and our nursery, children’s and student ministries. Likewise, Wednesday night programming will resume that week – excluding the dinner.
Here is a list of canceled or postponed activities in June:
- There will NOT be coffee or donuts served outside or inside on Sunday mornings.
- Sunday 8 a.m. Inside Services CANCELED.
- Nursery and children’s programming is CANCELED until July.
- Wednesday night activities are CANCELED until July. The dinner WILL NOT begin in July
- Week of May 31 – Fitness, ACA, TOPS, and Loving Hearts Caregiver Support Group have been canceled.
