Faith Promise 2023-2024

“Around the World and Across the Street”

As NBCC continues to grow both in number and in Spirit, so does the need for Christian believers to give of their time, and use their God given talents and resources to aid others in need. NBCC Missions would like to thank you for your continued support and faithfulness in your Faith Promise giving. 2024 Faith Promise quickly approaching. NBCC Missions is in great need. What is the need? Simply said: 2 or 3 committee members!

NBCC Missions is pleased to be charged with the task of funding the Missions program. We are searching for people, first with a passion to reach out to others, and second, a desire to serve as part of one of the most important ministries at our Church.

Committee members need no experience just a desire to serve. Members meet once each month for one hour (usually after 10:30 services). Members: Discuss current and future support for Missionaries in the field, Develop promotions, bulletin boards, posters, events etc., Plan 2024 Faith Promise Rally event, speakers, and budget, and Visit locally supported missions.

This is not an “out-front visible” ministry, but missions is the a bed rock foundation of any church, that touches every part of the church and countless live around the world. Please! The need is real, and the Call is urgent. Contact Dale Hammond at 813.727.2888, maildude2003@yahoo.com or call the church. Thank you again. we (the Committee) are looking forward to sharing God’s blessing.

The Outreach 360 has need of a bilingual translator to help with Spanish speaking people using the service. Please contact Dale, Steve Lundon, or Bonnie McMurphy.

What is Faith Promise? A Faith Promise is a giving commitment made to God based not necessarily on what you already have, but on what you believe God will provide for you to use in worldwide evangelism. Each person is challenged to give “As he has purposed in his heart” (II Corinthians 9:7).

A Faith Promise is a personal agreement with God in which you promise to trust God to faithfully provide you with the funds to regularly support the worldwide mission’s efforts of New Beginnings Christian Church. The church will keep accurate records to confirm contributions for tax purposes, but in no case will the church solicit or remind any person if a Faith Promise commitment is not kept! The Faith Promise encourages systematic giving, based upon each person’s faith and trust in God’s provisions.

Supported missions for November 1, 2023 – October 31, 2024 are: Caribbean Christian Construction, Deaf Missions, Gigi’s Playhouse, Johnson University, Lake Aurora Christian Camp, New Life Solutions (A Woman’s Place), Mission Trip fund, and Postage/Mailings.

We are going to aid and assist in clean-up, teaching, and various other ministry opportunities in an area still hurting from storm damage. This local 7-day trip is planned to have something for all ages, so entire family engagement is encouraged.

There is a non-refundable deposit required by NBCC Missions to “lock-in” the July dates, but for now our missions team is looking for general interest, so no payment is required at this time.

Food Pantry

Food Pantry is open on Tuesday mornings and is accessed through the door across from the “boat”.

NBCC’s food pantry distributes food every Tuesday from 9 – 9:30 a.m. to those less fortunate. In these tough times, the response continues to grow. Weekly, we need to replenish the pantry; therefore, we are in continual need of canned goods and non-perishable foods. Monetary donations are also accepted to supplement the non-perishable donations.*

We truly appreciate the many donations of food, money, labor, and prayers that have gone into this much-needed ministry. Receiving these donations allows people to use their money for payment of utilities, rent, gasoline, etc. Without your regular donations you make feeding those less fortunate possible.

Donations can be dropped off at the NBCC Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (except from 12 – 1 p.m.). Donations are also accepted Sunday mornings from 7:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
